Soft, yet powerful. A versatile cropped vest that can be dressed-up or down.
The pattern is so versatile that the next one will come in different shade(s) with long sleeves and collar!

Shrug Shrug Shrug
What a gloomy day! It is 1st June and we have very little sunny feelings......
I think I will start knitting some shrugs. I will start making smaller versions and it they work I will make bigger versions. We need some warms around the shoulders! Scarves are not enough for this cold Dutch weather, in June!!!!
Wait for my update!

Profile of the knitter behind tinK
I love making things with my hands. I am also a true believer in handmade products.
It was during my first pregnancy when my youthful passion for knitting returned. The love for this amazing craft has grown stronger each day. I knit not only for my sons, but also for family and friends.
I enjoy making each piece and love seeing my creations on people who appreciate handmade products.
Knitting is also my therapy. It relaxes me. And because I am inspired by forms, patterns and colors, ideas for new designs float in my imagination. I am constantly thinking of new designs.
The price per item comprises mostly the material costs. I use almost exclusively cotton yarns. Sometimes with silk, linen content. Perhaps during the cold winter months I will use some wool materials.
So it is obvious that income from the sale of these garments will probably not be enough to support my living but it helps give me more pocket money and allows me to acquire more new yarns. So, whenever one of my products is sold, it is a positive cycle for everyone.
I hope you enjoy what you see and, if you take them home, I wish you all the joy and pride in wearing them!
If you would like to know more about each item or even request a customized item, drop me a line at tzemoi@gmail.com or visit me at my blog, www.project-tink.blogspot.nl

Child Labour
Today I my eldest helped me with the preparation of my price tags.
He thinks the tags are crocodiles and was very happy I added the green tail!

Labels designed and created
I finally sat down in front of the computer, clicked on the Adobe icon and worked on the design of my logo. It feels great, to be able to off load the thoughts and ideas that have been shouting in my mind!

Khaki
I have these sturdy cotton yarn ready to be transformed into something simple and cute. But what?
Let's try this tree design and see how my inspiration takes me.
Work-in-Progress today:
Pictures to follow.
I think I will turn it into a summer bolero. In Hollands, you can never have bare shoulders for too long! And this year the spring decides to take a rain check!

The New Label Project
And so it begins. My venture into commercializing my knitted items. They are mostly pretty tops I made for myself. Those I knitted for my boys are not for sale!
On May 8th I wrote to the owner of The New Label Project and we agreed to share our passion for hand-made items in her space at Rozengracht. What a pretty store! A space filled with hand-made products!
I never planned to do this but I did it!
